Is the MTI Educational Foundation a Corporation?

Yes. The MTI Educational Foundation is a Florida non-profit corporation filed with the Internal Revenue Service. The Foundation is governed by a six (6) member Board of Directors from the Metal Treating Industry under an approved set of Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws.

 

Are my contributions tax deductible?

Yes. The MTI Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization operating under the rules and regulations of the Internal Revenue Service making 100% of your donations tax deductible.

 

What types of projects can I donate to?

There are two options for you to give. Option 1 is to donate towards current projects currently being funded by the Foundation. Option 2 is to donate towards the MTI Endowment Fund.  The MTI Endowment Fund is made up of gifts and bequests that are subject to a requirement that the principal be maintained intact and invested to create a source of sustainable income for MTI’s current projects.

How are the funds invested and who is in charge of managing those funds?

The funds of the MTI Educational Foundation are managed through an investment policy approved by the Foundation Board of Directors.

How are decisions made to fund projects?

The Foundation requires any organization to make a full proposal and request in writing outlining its mission, goal, operations of its project and the measurement used to determine success. Foundation Directors will consider any open requests for funding at their regularly scheduled meetings.

 

How do I make a contribution to the MTI Educational Foundation?

On the Donations tab, you will find the listing of ways you are able to donate.

Once you decide on how you will donate and how much, you will then complete the MTI Educational Foundation Donation Form. The Foundation will promptly respond to you with any documentation needed for tax records.
